Nutrition for Body and Soul


Time for another mouthwatering Thanksgiving recipe using Améo Essential Oils! This one will pair perfectly with yesterday’s Améo Turkey Flavor Injection.


5 lbs diced potatoes
3 drops Améo Rosemary oil
1 drop Améo Black Pepper oil
1.5 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons milk
6 tablespoons butter

1) Boil cubed potatoes, with or without skin to preference, for 20+ minutes until soft
2) Drain potatoes and place in large bowl with butter; allow butter to melt
3) Add cream and mash potatoes to desired consistency, adding milk as needed
4) Add Améo Rosemary and Black Pepper oils, garlic powder, and salt and mix well
5) Serve warm with your favorite gravy
Optional: Garnish with sprigs of fresh Rosemary

Creamy Pumpkin Soup!!

The PERFECT pre-Thanksgiving Creamy Pumpkin Soup recipe from the Cooking with Améo Cookbook! Here’s the recipe:

3 cups vegetable broth
1⁄2 tsp. salt 
2 cups pumpkin puree
1⁄2 cup onion, minced
1⁄2 tsp. fresh thyme, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
6 black peppercorns, freshly cracked
1⁄2 tsp. ginger, freshly grated
1⁄2 tsp. turmeric, freshly grated
2 tsp. cinnamon, ground
2 tsp. nutmeg, ground
1/2 cup heavy cream or coconut cream
2 drops Améo Ginger oil and Améo Cinnamon oil 
Freshly grated parmesan cheese and/or sour cream for garnish 

1. Gently whisk Améo Cinnamon and Ginger oils into cream, cover, and set aside
2. In a large pot, combine broth, salt, pumpkin puree, onion, thyme, garlic, pepper, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and nutmeg and bring to a boil
3. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for about 30 minutes or until desired thickness is achieved
4. Remove from heat and stir in cream and essential oil mixture
5. Pour into serving bowls and top with Parmesan and/or sour cream

Is Your Body Acidic?

It is important to maintain pH balance in our bodies.  One can do this by changing their diet and eating foods that promote alkalinity!  Some foods that promote a balanced pH include celery, broccoli, peppers, kale, and avocados!

Symptoms can include :  muscular pain, heartburn, cold hands or feet, joint pain, mucus build-up, etc.

Here is a recipe you can use to help balance your body’s pH…

**1/3 tsp. baking soda

**2 T. lemon juice or Organic apple cider vinegar

Mix together…it will fizz!  When it calms down, add it to a glass of water and drink at once!  This can also help with stomach acid!

Now that the weather is finally cooling off….. doesn’t this look totally awesome!!!!


Although this dish looks like a big bowl of oatmeal, there isn’t an oat or a grain in sight. Honeycrisp apples, medjool dates, cinnamon, and nutmeg are tossed into a food processor and whirled to sweet perfection. Then, another honeycrisp apple is finely diced and stirred into the apple-date mixture along with two tablespoons of chia seeds. Spiced Butter

‘Tis the season for clove, cinnamon and ginger!  Check out this spiced butter recipe!  Yummy on a number of things!

Spiced Butter


1/2 cup organic butter, softened

3 drops Améo Clove Oil

3 drops Améo Cinnamon Oil

2 drops Améo Ginger Oil

(optional….add 1 cup organic honey)

**Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container!
