Is Your Body Acidic?

It is important to maintain pH balance in our bodies.  One can do this by changing their diet and eating foods that promote alkalinity!  Some foods that promote a balanced pH include celery, broccoli, peppers, kale, and avocados!

Symptoms can include :  muscular pain, heartburn, cold hands or feet, joint pain, mucus build-up, etc.

Here is a recipe you can use to help balance your body’s pH…

**1/3 tsp. baking soda

**2 T. lemon juice or Organic apple cider vinegar

Mix together…it will fizz!  When it calms down, add it to a glass of water and drink at once!  This can also help with stomach acid!

What Are Alkaline Foods You Ask?

What are Alkaline Foods?

An alkaline diet emphasizes alkaline foods such as whole fruits and vegetables and certain whole grains, which are low in caloric density. Healthy Alkaline Diet Foods involve the ideal balance between acidifying and alkalizing foods.

The body includes a number of organ systems that are adept at neutralizing and eliminating excess acid, but there is a limit to how much acid even a healthy body can cope with effectively. The body is capable of maintaining an acid-alkaline balance provided that the organs are functioning properly, that a well-balanced alkaline diet is being consumed, and that other acid-producing factors, such as tobacco use, are avoided.  This info is from The AAA Diet!

Here is a list of Alkaline Foods, especially High Alkaline Foods:

Examples of Alkalining Vegetables: Beets, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Celery, Cucumber, Kale, Lettuce, Onions, Peas, Peppers, Spinach
Examples of Alkalizing Fruits: Apple, Banana, Berries, Cantaloupe, Grapes, Melon, Lemon, Orange, Peach, Pear, Watermelon
Alkalizing Protein: Almonds, Chestnuts, Tofu
Alkalizing Spices: Cinnamon, Curry, Ginger, Mustard, Sea Salt

It’s easier when you know which foods help your body stay get to and stay in an alkaline state. A general rule of thumb is that you can eat these foods without worrying about any acidic effect they’ll have, although some are more alkaline than others. It isn’t necessary to eat only alkaline foods in order to get body’s pH levels to be alkaline, and a certain percentage of foods can be acidic, but it’s best if they’re natural, whole foods like fruits.
