Nutrition for Body and Soul

Why do people feel so much younger from consuming true Moringa oleifera? This is a big reason why.

The Moringa that is found online and in health food stores is either powder capsules or powders meant to mix with smoothies and other foods.

They are comprised of using dried and crushed leaves. While this is still better than nothing. Getting the complete nutritional benefit of Moringa comes from more than just the leaf.

Zija International has gone to great lengths to ensure that their proprietary blend uses the leaf, the seed cake, and the seed pod. All of these provide different core nutrients.

In addition to using various parts of the plant, Zija also shade dries their raw materials. This ensures that none of the components lose their enzymatic activity or bio-availability.

Zija also uses various age groups of the plant. Juvenile, adolescent, and mature plants. They discovered that the nutrient profiles were different at the various age groups.

Last but not least they studied the 58 species of Moringa from various countries and regions around the world. They found that the most nutrient dense hailed from India at the best of the Himalayas.

Given the nutritional profile of Zija’s Moringa the daily cost of this complete daily nutritional supplement is just about $3.00 a day.

Benefits of Lemon Essential Oil vs. Fresh Lemon Juice

Benefits of Lemon Essential Oil vs. Fresh Lemon Juice

October 11, 2016 by Jen Broyles.

I’ve shared many times how I love starting my day with a glass of water with a couple drops of lemon essential oil. That often leads to questions about the difference between lemon essential oil and fresh squeezed lemon juice. Many people think it’s virtually the same thing.

While lemon essential oil tastes like lemon, it’s actually quite different from lemon juice. Lemon essential oil is cold-pressed from the rind while lemon juice comes from the pulp. This results in two very different substances with different properties.

From a scientific perspective, lemon essential oil is very high in limonene, much more so than lemon juice. The high limonene content found in this essential oil makes it a powerful antioxidant and a cleansing agent. In the ancient world, Egyptians used lemon oil to cleanse their bodies of toxins. It also aids in digestion, supports healthy respiratory function, and provides immune system support, especially during seasonal changes.

Essential oils are also extremely potent and concentrated. So even if lemon oil and lemon juice were identical substances, it would take a very large amount of lemon juice to equal the potency of 1-2 drops of oil.

One lemon tree can produce between 500 and 600 pounds of lemons in a year. It takes about 45 lemons to fill up a 15ml bottle.

Another important distinction is that lemon essential oil may be easier to ingest for those with sensitive stomachs because it does not contain citric acid.

Here are a few easy, practical ways you can use lemon essential oil.

Aromatic

Add 2–4 drops to the diffuser of your choice to help boost your mood and improve the scent of the room.

• Rub 1–2 drops into your palms and inhale to invigorate your mind and body.

• Pour a couple drops into air vents to fill your house or car with a citrusy aroma.

Internal

Add 1–2 drops to baked goods, beverages, or your favorite entrée to create a zesty flavor.

• Mix a couple drops with raw honey for immune-boosting benefits.*

• Add a couple drops to warm water with honey to help soothe irritated throat and boost your immune system.*

• Place a drop on your toothbrush or tongue for fresher breath and a cleaner mouth.

Topical

Rub a drop on your hands after being in a public place such as a public bathroom or before pushing shopping carts.

• Apply to cleanse specific area on the skin.

• Massage 2–4 drops onto your skin to improve circulation

Other

Rub 1–2 drops to remove gum, oil, grease, sap, or crayon.

• Combine with water in a spray bottle to clean surfaces.

• Use to clean silverware and baking dishes.

Be Prepared When You Travel

AMÉO LIVING SERIES: ESSENTIAL OILS FOR TRAVELING

The following is one in a series of practical Améo Essential Oil uses from healthy lifestyle expert Karen A. Jensen

Time to hit the road! Just remember that as you travel a few things can make your trip memorable in several ways. Your wellbeing might be enhanced with the use of items such as Ameo Aroma Necklace, Aerify Diffuser, Beadlets, even a cotton hanky onto which one can place oils such as Gest Calm – a terrific aid for travel tummies. Peppermint and Life Unlimited can help you keep up with vacation schedules.  Think about keeping Pure Tranquility, in your travel bags to maintain that mellow and laid-back attitude. Soothing Air can make sure the dry airplane atmosphere remains a non-factor as you travel.

Recently my husband and I traveled to India. It was an amazing trip and in order to make sure we were able to enjoy every moment, oils such as Proshield were diffused, placed on face cloths and taken internally. Ameo Hand Purifier is easy to carry and actually makes hands feel softer and more pleasant than other such products.

If your trip includes roller coasters you might consider the Cooling Mint beadlets, just place one between lip and gum then board the ride certain that your stomach stays where it belongs. The use of Muscle Rub may also be a good idea for those sporting trips, even to work into the feet when heading to the ski slopes.

Remember that any of the citrus oils – Lemon, Tangerine, Orange or Bergamot, can be added to drink bottles. Simply add the oil to the powdered SuperMix or SmartMix, work in well then add water and shake vigorously. A drop on a slice of fruit or spritzed from your 4mil sprayer onto salad can keep you functioning at top levels.

Sometimes the stresses of travel can result in blisters that make you feel awkward and uncomfortable. A combination of equal parts Black Pepper, Sweet Fennel and Copiaba can make a difference. This is also a great blend to add to your Zija Oil for dry or problematic skin. Of course AGX Skin is one of my favorites for addition to fractionated coconut oil and use in massage.
